How can Lacrifill® be removed once administered?

Lacrifill^® can be removed by gently irrigating the canaliculus with sterile saline. Removal is demonstrated by free flow of fluid through the lacrimal drainage system and/or the patient reporting swallowing or a sensation of fluid in the nose or throat.¹
